Evan Stewart

Co-founder, CEO at Basewell

Hey, I’m Evan.

My journey began when I dropped out of college to start a real estate venture. We grew annual business upwards of $30M (while staying bootstrapped and profitable) earning recognition as a top name in the Dallas and Texas real estate markets. (Acquired in 2019 by an associate broker with Compass, $COMP.)

After exiting, I consulted with startups throughout the USA and Canada, focusing on revenue generation and GTM strategy. My consulting portfolio doubled business year over year on average, growing from early traction to millions in ARR.

While consulting, I experienced friction in how information was communicated in organizations: often siloed, rarely contextualized, hard to access, with limited data on how that info was impacting people and goals.

Frustration with this problem (and a lack of viable solutions) convinced me to solve it. I self-taught design and prototyping in Figma, and software engineering to start hacking away at solutions.

That start eventually led to the creation of Basewell (basewell.com/) where I currently serve as co-founder and CEO with two amazing team members. Brittany, COO, who leads our intelligence alignment and operations efforts. Darryl, CTO, who is responsible for Basewell's architecture and language model structures. We're helping companies build highly skilled teams by delivering instant, relevant answers to employee questions based on company knowledge.

When I'm not working on Basewell you can find me rock climbing or hiking in the remote Rocky Mountains, or designing/developing projects to help people think, learn, and work better.
